(Re)structure

Shuffling classes again to maintain sanity/better approximate my ambition & ability. Tough call, but it's a class I can't "bluff", as the nightshow host "who cannot be named" so streetly termed it. Will I regret the choice? Time knows, but she speaks a language I don't understand.

The Revenant

The bald orange desert of Plytos has a mole: a dark, precancerous mote, glinting dully in its yellow M-class sunlight.

A closer view gives the occlusion scale: a pattern of overlapping lines, flat black, anodized. Something moving at their center, a mechanical shudder. Robot arms tending a slender white rectangle with robot reverence -- a platter, a pretense, bracing an infill of pristine, gleaming black droid.

Darkdroid.

Reborn.

Ladysmith Black Mambazo in Outer Space

Rediscovery of a long-loved sound: African a capella isicathamiya music. Ladysmith Black Mambazo, to be specific. Their "Unomathemba" -- originally of the Dry White Season soundtrack -- is nearly as good as their "Amazing Grace". Thank you SNL, Robert Smigel, and Dennis Haybert. Now The Lion King demands a re-listening.
